Mobile phones should be switched off during your consultation
We have disabled access to the whole ground floor and baby changing facilities are provided in the downstairs toilet.
We welcome children in the practice, and every effort is made to make the practice as child-friendly as possible. Toys and books are available in all treatment rooms, but if your child has a favourite book please feel free to bring it along. Parents and carers should be prepared to entertain their child during treatment.
Young children do not have to lie down for their treatment, and can often sit on a parent/carers lap and play with toys. Babies may be fed (breast or bottle) whilst they are being treated.
It is a good idea to prepare a child for treatment, how this is done will vary depending on their age. Young children should know that the osteopath will touch their head and body. Older children may well be interested in more detail.
Please bring your child’s red health record with you because your osteopath may wish to see information in it and write in it to record your child’s treatment. This is a valuable way for the osteopath to communicate with health visitors and doctors about your child’s treatment.
If there is anything that you would like to tell us without your child knowing, then please either talk to us beforehand or write it down.
